Winter Jacket

It's every girls tradition to buy a new winter coat every year? Yes. Okay maybe I made that up myself to justify it for myself when I feel the need to purchase about 3 every year! I was in Perth the other day (It's a very small town in Scotland with the SMALLEST Topshop) Well anyway, I fell in love with two coats there. At the time it was inconvenient to carry them about and I couldn't decide which one I preferred. Waiting til I got back in Aberdeen and surprise, surprise... the bigger store had neither! I mean I could order online... but I hate online shopping. Typing card details out send me to sleep, I much prefer going into the shops and getting the product instantly.

My favourite of the two coats from Topshop has now been  added to my  Christmas list!

So, I ended up in Miss Selfridge and got my first winter jacket of the year. I feel like a giant marshmallow when I wear it - I kinda feel it's adorable! Here are some snaps for it!

Photoshoot: SUGAR RUSH

For part of my uni coursework we had to arrange a photoshoot.... I know what you're thinking. How great is my course?? Well I teamed up with my good friend Sandra! I don't think we realised how many different things we would have to consider.. makeup, poses, outfits, locations... etc. I have to say It was the most fun coursework ever! And I am pretty pleased with the results!!

Sandra and myself both have something in common. We have a pink obsession. So a girly themed photoshoot was right up our street......... and what girl doesn't love sweets?! We decided on Candy & sugar themed. Oh, what fun that was.... at one point we were throwing sweets at our model!!

My friend Conor was amazing and took the shots for us. Click here to check out some of his work. Birgit was amazing as  our model- She is absolutely stunning BTW! Both were amazing to work with

Overall, the two hours we had in the studio flew by! Can't explain how much fun I had :)

Here are a few of our shots to give you a little taster! x

Reading week: Comfy clothes OOTD

It's reading week at university! So, like many students my first initial thought is to go home as I get very littles chances usually. Yesterday, I received some hurtful news about someone I thought cared about me ( I won't go into it ) so I wasn't up for a "glamourous" outfit in the slightest. I just wanted something comfy and cosy to have a nice day out with my mum. It turned out a great day- really enjoyed myself. Was treated to a yummy lunch and some retail therapy!

So for my outfit.........

since I am loving tartans and checks this season; I wore my purple Jack wills tartan dress. To be honest, its pretty  covered up but you can see a little bit of it poking out. Teaming it with a topshop jumper , Zara scarf and my beautiful Mulberry :). Comfy shoes are a must when you are feeling down. So it was converse all the way.

Here are some snaps I took before heading out :)

Hope all you other students out there have a good reading week...... catching up on course work i hope!!

Matthew Williamson.... Interior Designer?!

"Having my own interior design collection has long been an ambition of mine and I'm thrilled to finally see that ambition start to come to life,"  Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson has collaborated with Osbourne & Little to start his own interior designer collection and what can I say... it is absolutely gorgeous! It is right up my street, I LOVE bright colours and exotic, luxury patterns.

The fabrics feel amazing in the flesh. Once one has been made into a glamorous curtain, I honestly think I will just want to live it them!  They are the same price range as most O&L collections. Wallpapers retailing with a start price of £52 a roll and fabrics starting at £65 a meter.

OOTD- Halloween Special

Everyone has a favourite childhood film. When I was younger, "Bride of Chucky" along with the other Child's Play sequels were always my favourites- I became obsessed with it. Not the normal childhood favourite, i know! However, when thinking for Halloween outfits this year, why not try resemble Chucky? Mr Charles Lee Ray?

I love this time of year so much. I would say it's my favourite time of year but that would be a lie. For those that don't personally know me, I'm a Christmas fanatic. Now Halloween is out the way, i'm already thinking of my Christmas playlists.

However, I loved dressing up as Chucky and not being your bog standard "slutty" Leopard or rabbit. We have all seen mean girls. You know exactly the look I'm on about. Chucky even won best dressed at my work, this meant I get a crate of whatever alcoholic drink that i would like (that we stock). So of course I chose Smirnoff Ice.... I drink like a 10 year old I know.

I would love to see your Halloween costumes! Please send me a link :) need ideas for next year!! I'm thinking Tim Burton's Corpses bride??

Too Faced: Beach Bunny. Hit or Miss?!

As I am aware, I'm still new to the blogging community and want to try a little of everything until I find my perfect style. So I thought a review would be perfect, as I love reading them myself. 80% of the time I will read reviews on products before I purchase them......

This was a completely different story! This bronzed compact from "Too Faced" was an impulse buy! totally drawn in by the wonderful packaging, which had little golden bunnies on the side. I'm a sucker for anything with animals and cute things. I hadn't heard anything about this product before, so it was a complete hit or miss for me but I knew I just had to have it!

The unique name "Beach Bunny" Gives me the image of "Malibu Barbie" living life up on the beach sipping cocktails. This idea might make some people cringe and hang their head in shame. However, for me it draws me into the product even more! If you love a tan and golden cheeks, I would defiantly consider investing in this product!!

I also love the fact there is no barriers to separate the shades, which means you can create the perfect sun-kissed tan for your skin tone! I'm naturally very pale and have used this product with no fake tan on and it still matched my complexion.

The fact I wore this product all night at work (With no primer) and it managed to stay on is a bloody miracle! For those of you that don't know I work at a nightclub .... a VERY sweaty nightclub. A little gross... but I am in love with this product for staying on and I would defiantly recommend it on a night out, casual day trip or even the beach like the name suggests!

The only drawback I found with this product was it was a little pricey. I got it out of boots but was still£25. For a not as well known brand I find this a little expensive but I would re-perchase so it is worth the money!!

Now I just need to try more "Too Faced" products, including the "Snow Bunny".. I'm intrigued!!

OOTD - Cinema & Dinner

Shirt & Skirt H&M, Gilet TOPSHOP, Belt EBAY, Bag JIMMY CHOO

So, I ventured home to the countryside to visit Mum and Dad Infact it was a special occasion - My Dad's birthday! It's hard for me to get time off studying and work to get home, so I really appriciate time spent with them.... nd my glorious bubble baths.

For my outfit, I'm not entirely sure the look I was trying to acheive. However, I felt comfortable in my own little "granny-ish" style. My shirt from H&M is a recent purchase which I am in love with. I have been wearing it with skater skirts, jeans, disco pants.. you name it! It's also semi-smart so I can get away with wearing it to work which is always a bonus. Being back home also has the perks of reuniting me with my  wardobe at home (Which is a lot bigger!) I found my Faux fur Topshop gilet, which I totoally forgot about which is perfect for this time of year and adding a sense of glamour to an outfit.  Finally, you can see my beuaitful bag as well. My first Jimmy Choo. Hopefully I will own more in the furture, will need to start saving my pennies.

The film we went to see, "Sunshine on Leith" is a new musical, where the storyline is based on numerous Proclaimers songs. My Dad being a "die-hard" Scottish fan loves anything to do with Scotland. So a film based in Edinburgh with constant Promclaimers songs... Perfect! For me however, half Scottish half English, I don't quite share the same enthusiam! Glad he enjoyed it though. We then went out for an Indian, another thing I'm not the bigges fan of. I ordered Chicken and Chips, could see the smirk on the waiters face, as it was the only thing on the menu which wasn't Indian! Think it was there for the children.

I'm now away to watch "Bride of Chucky" for some halloween prep. That's who I am dressing up as by the way. So i'm excited to share my pictures with you!

What are you guys planning for Halloween??
